Peace, For Now

Teardrops of the past fall,
Memories are forgotten,
All in a hope for peace.

No more fighting,
No more dying,
No more pain.

They've all forgotten,
For a few weeks,
A few days.

The princess has won,
Now they sleep dormant,
For a little bit,
In hope for peace.

It saddens me,
To know it isn't over.
That they will fight,
For many years yet.

But someday,
Long, hard fought peace,
Will rain,
If only for a little bit.
