The Realization Part 8 Written by Aria Chiba PG You can send your comments about my story to ariachiba@hotmail.com Visit my webpages at http://sailormercuryshrine.freeservers.com Authors Note: This story deals with Usagi and Mamoru getting back together and a dip in the story line with new powers and such. This is the "realization" of the Senshi's true identity. No, i don't own Sailor Moon. So, please don't sue me! I own practically nothing, and I still live at my parent's house for goodness sakes! ******************************************************************** The sun rose slowly over the temple where Usagi, Mamoru, and Luna were sleeping. Not only them, but Rei, Chad, and three new babies. Two girls, Aya and Kari, and a boy, Toru. The birds were amazingly quiet, as if they knew how long a night they all had. But, nothing could keep them from singing for too long, and as the sun completely appeared over the trees, the birds began to sing. Usagi woke to the serene calmness that had snuck in during the night. No surprises, worried cries, or angry looks. She had never woken up this early before, and she wondered what caused her to wake. Everything seemed different, as if she was looking at everything with a new perspective. 'It must be because of last night. The new power must be affecting me more then just when I become Sailor Moon,' she thought to herself. She glanced around, finding Luna asleep at her head and Mamoru collapsed on a chair next to her bed. 'They must have been so worried. We must get back home as soon as possible. I don't want them to worry much more,' she thought, then carefully attempted to get up without waking the two. No luck. Luna jumped and cried, "Usagi!" Mamoru, awakened at Luna's cry, leaped up to her side. "Usa-ko! Are you ok?" Usagi giggled, and gave him a hug. "I'm very much ok. I guess you meant it when you said you wouldn't leave my side!" "I meant it very much, and I still do. I don't want to lose you now that I have you back," he murmured into her ear. Luna cleared her throat, and announced, "Well, Usagi, if you're up to it, why don't you try standing up?" Usagi nodded, and moved her legs to the side of the bed. "Here we go," she murmured, and stood up. She felt fine, a bit woozy, but she wasn't going to worry them. "Great, I feel great. Now, Mamoru... I'm going to have to ask you to leave me be for a moment." "Oh? And why would I do that?" He asked. "Because, I am going to take a bath. A beautiful tub like that shouldn't be put to waste. And though I will allow Luna in, you're just going to have to sit out on it this time." She said with a laugh. He turned beet red and stammered something about going to watch the sun or something. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Oh Luna... does today seem different to you?" Usagi asked as she undressed and got into the steaming hot tub. "How so?" Luna asked as she leapt nimbly onto the side of the tub. "Everything is so calm, quiet. So completely different from before. I used to feel as if the world was always ahead of me, now it's like... I'm in control. As if the world was trying to please me, and not get the best of me as before." She slipped deeper in the tub, so only the front of her face was showing. "I feel more like the princess i once was, not like a ditz or a meatball head. It's... kinda scary Luna. I'm not sure how to handle it." Luna looked down at her like a worried mother. "Oh, Usagi, I wish I could help you out more. But I'm afraid I'm at a lost at this whole situation. I'm not sure what I can do." Usagi opened one eye at Luna and brought up her arm to stroke her. "Oh Luna." Then she had an idea, she shot up in the water with an excited look on her face. "If I could give Mamo-chan some of this, perhaps I could do as well to you and it would clear your thinking." Luna watched as Usagi's Crescent Moon appeared on her forehead. She raised her hand and a soft light emitted from her finger. She then carefully lowered her finger so the light stopped right on top of Luna's Crescent Moon. The room flashed with a brilliant light as the tiny light merged within Luna. Luna shut her eyes from the light and arched her back from the amazing power that had come into her body, feeling only like a tiny teardrop. Then it was over, leaving Luna feeling... hopeful. Usagi sat there, looking at Luna with hope in her eyes. "Did it work? Did it help?" Luna smiled at her, feeling more like the advisor she was once was. "I believe that if you gave Mamoru a similar power, then you two are probably feeling the same way. Talk to him. And then you should go visit Rei and her new triplets. It would probably bring you some understanding as well." Usagi stared at her, somewhat taken aback by her sudden burst of confidence. "Sounds good to me! I've been itching to find out what happened to them! Then I should go see the Queen." "Agreed," Luna said, hopping off the side of the tub so Usagi could get up and drain the tub. She pulled on the blue and pink outfit she had grabbed before coming in, and brushed her hair out of the showercap and pulled it back into her meatballs. She was feeling much better after the bath. "Here we go," she murmured, stepping out of the bathroom with Luna on her heels. She smiled as she saw Mamoru reading a book on the sofa downstairs. She quietly slipped down the stairs, and slid up to his back. "Hey muffin, she said softly into his ear and pecking his cheek. He jumped with a start, but then smiled. "Hey sweetie," he responded. She sat down next to him, picked up one of his hands, and stroking it softly she said, "We must talk." He nodded, and placed his other hand on hers. "Are things feeling a bit different?" She took a deep breath and looked up at the crystal chandelier. "I feel so powerful, as if I control everything, like a bird chirping, a flower blooming. I don't feel like I'm going to trip over my feet, or crash into people. But, the strangest thing of all is... that I know so much more. Like all that I learned in my past that didn't sink in, like speaking english, or working out math problems, they were all locked up, and I just now discovered where I left the key." "Oh Usa-ko," he murmured. "I feel so similar, yet a bit different. I used to feel so unconfident. I wasn't sure how to act around some people, I didn't think I was going to act correctly, but now, it's like, I know exactly what to do. I know that I can do things right." He looked down, thoughtful. "Through these new powers, it must be restoring our confidence, softening our weak points. That way, we will be more able to face the challenges ahead." Usagi looked back down, fear in her eyes. "Will the challenges ahead be so severe that it is necessary for such power? Will it be worse then the fight with Queen Beryl? Is something terrible going to happen to all of us, or.. could I lose you, and everyone else?" He drew her close. "Never will I leave your side or stop protecting you! Nor will the scouts! You will never be alone! I promise you Usa-ko!" Usagi drew away and nodded. "I will be brave. Together we'll face this evil." (Aria: Ahhhhhh!!! So sappy! Someone stop it!) "I wonder who that could be?" Mamoru said, "Come in!" Sailor Mercury popped her head in, looking a bit beat. "Anyone want to see the new triplets?" Usagi jumped up excitedly. "I do! C'mon Mamo-chan, Luna!" She cried, grabbing his hand and dragging him to the door. Mercury put her hand up to her mouth to hide her chuckle. "This way." Soon they were in the nursery. Rei was sitting in a rocking chair, holding one babe, and the other two were in their cradles, sleeping. Usagi looked at them in excitement. "What are they're names?" She asked, coming up next to one of them. Rei smiled, "Well, this little girl i'm holding is Aya. The boy in the next cradle over is Toru. And the one you're standing next to is Kari." "They're all beautiful," Mamoru said softly, coming up next to Toru. "May I hold Kari?" Usagi asked. "Yes, of course you may," Rei said smiling. She carefully picked up the child, and she opened her eyes. They sparkled light green and she let out a laugh, reaching her arms out to Usagi. "She's so full of life!" she exclaimed, letting her grab her finger. "Yes, I see in the fire that Kari will be loving and friendly. She will make friends with everyone, human and animal. Toru will be wise, and he will lead many to prosperity. Aya will strong-willed, and she will teach the world what they're really made of." She sighed, stroking one of the black locks off of Aya's face. "I asked Mercury to bring you here early, because now you must go back to the castle. The Queen wishes to speak to you." 'And so it all begins,' Usagi thought as she took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, let's go. Mercury?" Usagi turned towards her and the three of them followed her out of the room. "Good luck to you Usagi! We shall pray for you!" Rei called after them. "I just hope that your fate isn't as bad as I have foreseen. Please let them be ok," she murmured, a tear slipping down her cheek as she said a silent prayer. Kari, Aya, and Toru all similarly shut their eyes and prayed for the Angel called Usagi. They knew what hadn't become known yet. That she, the man, the pink-haired child, and the cat didn't belong here. And now that they were here, everything would be changed, and the greatest fight of all was just ahead of them. The outcome of the battle would change the face of the planet and the solar system, for all time, past, present, and future. Not only in this dimension, but in all dimensions. ********************************************************************** Ta da!
